2006-08-29 | By: A. Lundgren | Comment on this articleDo you want to get in touch with your old classmates? Or are you just curious to find out what happened to them. This page will help you find your old classmates.
You probably won't be able to find all your old classmates as those sites that offer you to search for old classmates depends on people to register them self. So until you have registered yourself no one else will be able to find you.
In many of those pages that offer people to search for their old classmates you will be able to find some information about the classmate you found. The amount of information depends on how much information the person where willing to give away. But it could be anything from address and current occupation to family status and photos.
Many of the sites cost money to be able to use all functions available on that site. But most of the time you're able to sign up for a free account and search for your old classmates. That is an effective way to see if your classmates are active on that site. If they aren't you could try another classmate site or sign up on that site and hope that some of your old classmates find you.
Some of the sites that lets you find old classmates also lets you find friends from other times in your life. You should be able to find friends from: kindergarten, primary school, high school, college, work and even the military.
All search terms we relate to in this article will be shown like this:
search term
You should be able to use that search term in any search engine. But if you want to be sure that it will work we recommend one of the following: Google, Yahoo! search or MSN search.
Find your old classmates
You should start by determine which classmates (or colleague from work or army buddy) you want to find. And then do a search for:
classmate from location
And replace the word from with any of the following: kindergarten, primary school, high school, college, work or military. And the word location with the country or even city you went in school in. For example: classmates college washington.
You should get several sites that offer you to find your old classmates or other old acquaintances. Go through them one by one until you find one that contains your old classmates. If you can't find one that contain your classmates in the first ten or so search result you probably won't find them in anyone of those pages. But you could register yourself and perhaps some of your classmates will register later.
Other ways to find old classmates
If you didn't have any luck with the method mention above there are still a couple of ways to find old classmates. The first thing you could try is to see if your old school offers a way for you to get in contact with your old classmates. Do so by searching for this:
find old classmate site:your-school.com
And replace your-school.com with the web address of your old school. You probably won't be able to get any information about your old classmates but some school will let you send an email through their mail system to your old classmate.
You could also do a search for something like this:
"class of graduation-year" your-school-name or
classmate "class of graduation-year" your-school-name
And replace graduation-year with the year you graduated and your-school-name with the name of your school. For example: "class of 99" harvard.
